The wine list is a veritable world tour. Recognized every year by Wine Spectator and the VQA with the Award of Excellence, the list has it all. From the every day wine to that rare find, our approach is simple. We offer a wide selection of wines, affordably priced, simply presented that will accommodate just about every occasion. Wine selection can sometimes be quite intimidating in a restaurant. Our aim is to make it a friendly and easy to understand adventure with a clearly organized wine list accompanied by helpful tasting notes attached to each wine.

The goal is not to impress with fancy words and to push people to any one choice. We like to think of the wine list as an aid to having an enjoyable dining experience, in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

The Superior Restaurant caters to a wide variety of clientele in this eclectic ever-changing neighborhood. The tired shopper, the business lunch, the theatregoer and the theatre players, the first date, the anniversary celebration, a quick bite, or an evening out all have one thing in common; the food and wine welcome all.

We have tried to build an interesting constantly evolving list of affordable, well chosen wines. The list covers most major grape varietals from all major wine producing countries. The restaurant pours about 16 wines by the glass.

Pricing is moderate. In most cases bottles purchased for over CDN$30 are generally given a $25-$35 flat markup, bottles purchased between $15 and $29 are given 100% markups and bottles below $15 given in excess of 100% markups.

Helpful tasting notes make the wines more accessible and give the guest an indication as to what they may expect in the wine. We have a cellar of over 1000 wines waiting for the right time to open.
