“The oyster bar stocks the biggest bites it can buy!”…Toronto Life

This cozy, old-style restaurant seems almost too good to be true, considering its location in the midst of the Yonge Street chaos between Queen and Dundas Streets. Don't be deceived by the authentic '50s steak house aura. The Superior, in its most recent incarnation, has only been open for a few years. It was revived from the old Superior Restaurant that occupied the space from 1943 until 1972, but they've kept the '50s ideal of big portions of hearty food for a reasonable price....toronto.com

Make reservations if you plan to stay for dinner, and make sure you ask for a booth. They're some of the best in town....Where Magazine

A rather nice restuarant, rated very high with my guests in the comfort department with really nice dishes. Service was great .. I am picky here and nice being so close to the theatre. Not my first time here and won't be my last. Cheers Bruce

Great spot, an excellent find through TO.com. Great food and ambiance, some awesome wines. We'd go back for sure

Love this place. We are welcomed with open arms and feel like it is a second home. Great food! Hope not everyone finds out about The Superior or our favourtite bar stools will be full. Fabulous!!!!!

There's only one word for it SPLENDID!!! Buffalo girls go round the outside!!

Having discovered it quite by accidents several years ago, I have found that Superior, its food, staff and atmosphere to be quite addictive. Anytime I wish to invite friends or work associates for a delightful lunch or dinner, I always think of Superior. It has never disappointed. In fact, everyone always comes back with more friends!

My friend and I discovered this place by accident, walking around looking for a place to have coffee. We ended up having the soup (strawberry-kiwi-mango - absolutely divine; too bad it's not on the permanent menu!) and vowing to return. Which we have, over and over again. This place never disappoints, and the specials are particularly mouthwatering: who would have thought lobster salad with avocado would go so well? Everytime we go there we get a different flavoured spread for our bread rolls, a nice touch. The best way to eat here: order one of everything and share!

Dined there recently and had one of the best experiences in recent memory. From the time you walk in the door till you reluctantly drag your self out, everything was superlative without being too stuffy. Great wine list, excellent staff and the best lamb ribs I've ever tasted, all at a reasonable price. Highly reccommended and a great find.
